Deep Creek Lake Wedding Photography at the Blue Moon Rising Cabins
Soooo the chance to create some Deep Creek Lake wedding photography Jenna and Alex's Blue Moon Rising wedding was one of my all-time favorite wedding days! I truly love every wedding and how they each uniquely express the couple, but my personal style REALLY aligns with this amazing wedding. As Jenna posted several weeks after their wedding, "I'm not going to lie, after the wedding was over it felt like the day after Christmas when you are a kid, but worse. It truly warms my heart thinking about this day and I'm forever grateful to have these memories."Jenna and Alex worked so hard and clearly had so much fun putting together this day! Some of my favorite parts: the cake cutting, which had a funfetti cake (my childhood favorite) with sparklers on top, the nacho bar at the end of the night (!!!), the insanely tall trees framing their gorgeous ceremony, and all the tiny cabins around the grounds where their family and best friends stayed for the weekend. Speaking of cabins, I was super excited to get to visit Blue Moon Rising. Basically they have 15ish tiny house cabins spread out around the event space on top of a huge hillside looking over Deep Creek Lake. Then for the wedding celebration space, there's a permanent tent, an incredible cathedral-like forest wedding ceremony spot, and of course, endless trees, hiking trails, lake views, and cool, fresh air. I didn't know until recently that Western Maryland is always cooler than it is over here near Baltimore. I definitely recommend heading up there if you like to be in color weather, especially for a July or August wedding. It's such a relief from typical Maryland summer weather! Without further ado, here is a long summary of a gorgeous wedding day that I would love to be the bride in if Tom and I were getting married again :D
