Celebrations By The Bay Documentary Wedding Photography

Celebrations By The Bay is such a flexible, beautiful Maryland wedding venue for a summer wedding. I photographed Nate and Angela’s day here this summer and loooved how many beautiful photo spots were available, how there was lots of space for guests, and especially how the big reception room feels like you’re outside with its sweeping bay view, but with the cool air conditioning keeping us comfortable on a hot Maryland summer’s day. Angela chose purple for her bridesmaids’ dresses, which was so beautiful. Their families both wore purple as well and surrounded by lush summer green,s the colors popped so well.

I loved getting so many heartfelt candids - the sweetest moments were swirling around me as fast as I could click my camera. I also teared up several times, which I don’t always do at weddings :’) I love this job so much and it’s so fun to be an documenter/onlooker/participant all combined. I try my best to be constantly transitioning from fly on the wall to encouraging my clients and helping them feel comfortable with me around and to be open and empowered to be affectionate with each other. …does any of that make sense??
