The Culvers // Morning-After-Birth Newborn Photos in Maryland
Late this summer I had the privilege of joining the Culver family for the birth of their second little boy, Larkin Christopher. <3 I got home from a beautiful but long day of photographing a wedding when Sarah called me and said, "I think you should come over now!" The contractions were picking up very quickly. I grabbed some cold brew coffee from the fridge, some snacks, and comfy clothes, and then hopped back in the car with my still-packed camera bag. The energy of Sarah, Zeb, and Sarah's sisters filled the house with warm, calm anticipation. I had so much adrenaline (the coffee helped too, of course) that I felt as though I'd had a full night of sleep and awoke just for this event. About 5 hours later, Lark was born! We all spent an hour or two with the three of them and then got a little sleep. Here's where the photo story begins: Wye, their firstborn, coming home around 8am to meet Lark for the first time. It was so lovely to document his initial, sweet reactions to their new baby. Thank you to the Culvers for letting me into this extremely personal and beautiful day of your lives!
