Centennial Park Maryland Family Photos

I met up with this fun family for some some Centennial Park Maryland family photos (pre-quarentine!)! It was a little chilly, but once we started running around, everyone warmed right up. There were so many silly sister moments, sweet mom and daughter hugs, and father and daughter giggles. Plus, the leaves were so beautifully fall-colored and reflecting right into the blue lake! We walked around the dam at the east side of the lake for the most perfect golden hour sun rays for some photos. The girls loved climbing on the rocks. I love the photos I got of one daughter with mom and the other with dad as they helped the girls navigate the large rocks by the water's edge. Not to get too deep, but... it was a pretty sweet life analogy of how parents and children should be. :)

I love Centennial Park for family photography because you can get right down the water in so many places! It's such a big park with a path all the way around the lake. They leave some large areas un-mowed and you get to see all the Maryland wildflowers and tall grasses, plus the wildlife, sometimes. From afar, I've seen deer, raccoons, foxes, SO many squirrels lol, turtles, fish, and of course, bugs. I'm sure there are more that I'm forgetting! It's a fun place for exploring when you're a kid and the world seems extra-big. Usually when I'm not doing in-home Maryland family photos with my clients, I take them here, because it's so fun to walk around and almost every spot is a good photo spot! Let me know if you're ready to set up your own session.
