Howard County Courthouse Wedding Documented With Film Photography

I photographed this happy Ellicott City courthouse wedding this spring and brought my film camera on a bit of a whim. I’ve been bringing it to random portrait sessions and weddings this year, and it just gives me a boost of inspiration :) I photographed, developed, and printed with lots of film photos during my college years and it’s so fun to go back and use that medium again. After the wedding we headed 5 minutes down the road to Centennial Lake Park for some portraits with the bright green foliage and beautiful pink cherry blossoms :)

Also, 2024 has been FULL of courthouse weddings, which makes me so happy! I made it a goal a couple years ago to do a high ratio of courthouse weddings to longer weekend weddings. This way I can spend more time on weekends with my family and also be more sustainable in my work, because photographing for 7+ hours is no joke! I’m super thankful for all the people who choose me to document their weddings.
