Fusion Indian American Backyard Tented Wedding // Shivani & Kyle

Today I’m sharing this fun autumn backyard wedding! After photographing several hot-weather fall weddings, it felt amazing to be in upstate New York to photograph a warm but breezy, joyful and sunny day like this one. Shivani and Kyle had a giant tent put up in Kyle’s parents’ backyard and has their family and friends from all over come to celebrate with them. There was BBQ, ice cream, flowers… twirling skirts, bright blue suits, and so many gorgeous sparkling lehengas and sarees! I’ll let Shivani tell you a little more about the combination DIY/professional involvement with the planning and decorating of their wedding day: “Most decorations and floral arrangements are made by bride and family and friends. The bride's bouquet is from Price Chopper (a grocery store), bride's dress is custom made in India, groom's suit is from the store Indochino, our engagement ring and wedding bands from Van Horn Jewelers in Owego NY, groom's pocket square, tie and tie bar from Tie Bar, bride and groom's watches: MVMT, invitations are online from Paper Source, Caterer is Smokey Legend Gourmet Barbeque, Italian ice cart is Joey's Pizzeria, DJ is DJ Lee Waddell, and tent, table, chair rentals, linens: Floyd's Rental in Endicott NY.” And of course photos are by L.A.
