spiced chai
There are lots of ways to make chai, but this is what I created from what I found in Tom's kitchen last week:
(3) peppercorns
(4) cloves
(2-5) pinches of cinnamon
(2) cups of whole milk
(1.5) cups of water
(2-3) black tea bags
Crush the spices with a mortar and pestle.
Allow the milk, water, and spices to come to a boil and immediately remove from heat, stirring throughout. Steep the tea bags for 5 minutes.
Top with whipped cream, more cinnamon, or whatever suits your fancy.
